Paperlit launches support for Windows Phone 8

Here at Paperlit we strive to give a publisher as much freedom as possible with the content format they want to upload and making sure all major devices are supported.

When we had our first look at Windows Phone 8, we were impressed and believed that this was going to be an important platform for publishers. As of today, Windows Phone 8 makes up for 13% of all new smartphones shipped in Italy, and worldwide it is the 3rd platform after iOS and Android, passing iOS in many countries.

In addition, from our analytics, we have seen that 50% of all the traffic our publishers are generating is coming from smartphones.

In conjunction with this observation, Paperlit was introduced to a program called Mobile App Acceleration Camp which is a fast-track to the Microsoft AppCampus.

We joined this program and worked closely with Microsoft to co-design a develop the best app possible.

Our first release is now ready, please check it out on the Windows Phone Store, where we have just published 2 apps: Touch Magazine and Cooperazione.

You can download the issue, read it smoothly, store it for offline reading, read the latest news coming from Facebook or from a generic news feed.
